memory of a landscape

Background is worked in watercolour pencils used as ordinary coloured pencils. The page was gessoed first which accounts for the irregular texture - an experiment.

Text reads:

born
memory of a landscape
out of bounds

I rest in my fantasy life

my circle a retreat

This looks good fun, Jill. I do like your style.

I've never managed to find a book for altering where I can use the actual words. Where do you look for books?

Lovely spread, Jill, great text choice and love the patterns and colours! Isn't this a fab project? Must get on with some more of mine!

Thankyou all :).

Elizabeth - I get my books for altering both text and otherwise, from libraries and charity shops.
The text finding is fun, well I am enjoying that part, although it is fairly laborious but can be done almost anywhere - have book and a pencil will travel. I use both full and part words from the text - if an idea strikes from what I see I look for partial words to fulfil what I want. If not I change what I want :).
This book is a good example, the opening pages were a lot more promising text-wise, with gods and goddesses mentioned etc, than these first chapter pages are proving to be, but nevertheless it is fun. Find the text first - then match your visuals.
